- • Join Fundraise Up as a UX Researcher and play a pivotal role in shaping exceptional donation and fundraising experiences that empower nonprofits to amplify their impact globally.
- • You will be an integral part of our Product Research Team, dedicated to elevating the quality, speed, and strategic decision-making capabilities of research across our entire product suite.
- • This dynamic role seamlessly blends classic UX research methodologies with essential Product Discovery principles, exploring new markets, segments, and innovative product opportunities.
- • You will navigate and contribute to both B2C (donor-facing experiences) and B2B (nonprofit/organization-facing workflows) contexts, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our diverse user base.
- • Take full ownership of research initiatives, from the initial quarterly plan intake to the final delivery of actionable insights and recommendations.
- • This includes defining research objectives, crafting robust methodologies, meticulously conducting research, performing thorough analysis, synthesizing findings, presenting compelling results, and actively driving the implementation of resulting actions.
- • You will be empowered to select the most appropriate research methods for each unique challenge, drawing from a comprehensive toolkit including interviews, usability tests, concept tests, surveys, desk research, competitive scans, and more.
- • Your method selection will be guided by a deep understanding of the uncertainty level, critical business goals, and project timelines.
- • You will independently manage all logistical aspects of research execution, including setting up necessary tools and data access, coordinating participant scheduling and confirmations, managing session logistics, ensuring meticulous note-taking, handling recordings, and maintaining organized documentation – requiring minimal oversight.
- • Act as a crucial cross-functional connector, proactively gathering hypotheses, context, and pain points from Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Analytics teams.
- • Translate this diverse input into well-defined, testable research questions that address real business needs and user challenges.
- • Maintain a close, collaborative relationship with our product analytics function.
- • Monitor key dashboards and reports, partnering with analysts to identify anomalies, user drop-off points, and emerging trends.
- • Formulate data-driven hypotheses and prioritize research efforts to validate these insights and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- • Produce high-impact, immediately usable outputs that clearly articulate key findings, critical decisions, identified trade-offs, potential risks, and actionable recommendations.
- • Ensure all recommendations are supported by robust evidence, including direct user quotes, video clips, and relevant metrics.
- • Cultivate an internal knowledge base by regularly reviewing existing research, past studies, competitor insights, and industry trends.
- • Synthesize this information to build a comprehensive understanding of what is already known, preventing redundant efforts and informing future research directions.
- • Serve as the unwavering advocate for our users, ensuring their needs, behaviors, and constraints are consistently represented and prioritized in all product development decisions.
- • Champion a user-centric approach, moving beyond subjective opinions to grounded, evidence-based insights.
- • Proactively contribute to the team's collective knowledge by maintaining a "research radar" that tracks internal learnings, market shifts, competitor activities, and high-signal UX/product developments.
- • Share regular updates to keep the team informed, current, and aware of potential blind spots.
- • Leverage AI tools strategically to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate synthesis processes, including generating research guides, transcribing notes, identifying themes, drafting survey questions, and summarizing findings.
- • Crucially, maintain human judgment and methodological rigor where it matters most, ensuring the integrity and depth of the research.
- • Understand core marketing terms and their implications for research design and insight interpretation, even if not a marketing specialist.
- • Bring exceptional empathy, respect, and care to all interactions with participants, recognizing that our users are nonprofits and donors dedicated to doing good in the world.
- • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all research practices, ensuring participant well-being and data privacy.
