- • As a Senior UX Researcher at Woven by Toyota, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of mobility by deeply understanding the needs and behaviors of the residents and visitors of Woven City, known as Weavers.
- • You will play a pivotal role in the Weavers UX and Design team, a dynamic group of designers, UX researchers, and program managers dedicated to creating user-facing products and services that enhance the daily lives of Weavers.
- • Your primary mission will be to champion the user perspective, ensuring that all developments within Woven City are human-centered and driven by robust, data-informed insights.
- • This involves meticulously planning and executing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research studies throughout the entire product and service development lifecycle, from initial scoping and participant recruitment to in-depth analysis, comprehensive reporting, and the crucial measurement of post-launch impact.
- • You will be instrumental in innovating research methodologies, developing creative, mixed-method approaches that combine diverse techniques, leverage cutting-edge UX technology, and foster strategic collaborations with research vendors to guarantee the delivery of high-quality, reliable data.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights that directly influence and guide design decisions, development priorities, and overarching strategic planning for Woven City.
- • You will act as a strong advocate for user research, partnering closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineering teams to champion user needs and cultivate a deeply ingrained user-centered culture across all facets of Woven City.
- • Taking ownership of complex research projects will be essential, requiring you to streamline operations, automate processes where possible, and adapt research methods effectively to meet project constraints while consistently maintaining the highest standards of output quality.
- • Your responsibilities extend to fostering communication and providing mentorship. You will actively participate in cross-functional discussions, offer guidance to fellow team members and management, and lead continuous improvement initiatives through activities such as post-project reviews.
- • You will also play a vital role in supporting the professional development of team members, helping to enhance their research capabilities and contribute to the overall growth of the UX research function within Woven City.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to understanding the current state of Weavers, identifying challenges across the entire Woven City ecosystem, and conducting rigorous tests and research to inform initiatives and tools that promote co-creation between Weavers and Inventors.
- • You will be expected to propose optimal strategies and solutions that skillfully balance user needs with business requirements, drawing upon your analytical prowess.
- • A significant part of your contribution will be to communicate the value of data-driven decision-making to non-research team members, thereby elevating the importance and impact of research at Woven City.
- • You will have the opportunity to make the research experience itself enjoyable for Weavers through engaging touchpoints like interviews and surveys, contributing to the unique culture of Woven City.
- • Ultimately, you will be a key contributor to realizing Toyota's vision of a human-centered city, directly impacting the future of mobility and enhancing the well-being of all who interact with Woven City.
- • This role is perfect for someone passionate about challenging the status quo, embracing innovation, and contributing to a world-changing mission.
- • You will be working within a flexible, startup-like environment, collaborating with a diverse, international team where business is conducted in both English and Japanese.
- • Your work will directly contribute to the core pillars of Woven by Toyota: AD/ADAS, Arene, Woven City, and Cloud & AI, ensuring that technology serves humanity.
- • You will be instrumental in defining the user experience for a city designed for the future, impacting how people live, work, and interact with technology in a seamless, integrated environment.
- • This is a unique opportunity to blend cutting-edge technology with deep human understanding to create a truly transformative mobility experience.
- • Your research will inform the development of both digital and physical products, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive experience for all stakeholders.
- • You will be empowered to experiment with new research tools and techniques, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in UX research.
- • The insights you generate will have a tangible impact on the safety, efficiency, and overall quality of life within Woven City.
- • You will be part of a team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact on society.
