📋 Description

• Lead the full-stack development of modern, accessible web applications that directly shape how federal agencies and Fortune-500 partners engage with their data, stakeholders, and the public. Your code will power dashboards, storytelling microsites, and interactive tools used by millions.
• Architect scalable, secure, and performant solutions in React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, ensuring every component meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards and Section 508 compliance from day one.
• Translate complex research, policy, and design artifacts into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces that feel intuitive on everything from a 4-inch phone to a 4K wall display.
• Own the entire SDLC: from sprint planning, user-story grooming, and backlog estimation to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and zero-downtime deployments on AWS GovCloud.
• Collaborate daily with multidisciplinary teams of UX researchers, visual designers, data scientists, and policy experts in a fully remote, async-first environment that values deep work and clear documentation.
• Champion accessibility, performance, and security best practices through code reviews, pair programming, and internal guilds that raise the technical bar across LINK’s growing engineering practice.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers, guiding them through advanced patterns, testing strategies, and career growth while fostering an inclusive culture where every voice is heard.
• Drive continuous improvement by instrumenting applications with observability tools, analyzing user behavior, and iterating rapidly based on real-world metrics and stakeholder feedback.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives and internal design-system libraries that accelerate delivery for future LINK projects and the broader civic-tech community.
• Present technical roadmaps, trade-off analyses, and post-launch retrospectives to executive stakeholders, translating technical jargon into clear business value.
• Stay ahead of emerging web standards, security advisories, and federal compliance mandates, ensuring LINK remains a trusted partner for sensitive government data.
• Balance innovation with pragmatism—knowing when to experiment with bleeding-edge tech and when to double-down on battle-tested patterns that keep mission-critical systems rock-solid.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience building React/Next.js applications with TypeScript and Node.js, including server-side rendering, static-site generation, and API design.
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying secure, scalable applications on AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, IAM) with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proven track record of delivering WCAG 2.2 AA / Section 508 compliant interfaces and the ability to conduct accessibility audits using screen readers, keyboard navigation, and automated testing suites.
• Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar) that enforce quality gates before every merge.
• Nice-to-have: Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance, experience with federal security frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53), and contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
