- • As a ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Administrator SME, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate software license management, compliance, and cost optimization for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through strategic administration and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow SAM Pro Plus application.
- • Day to day, you will guide the implementation and configuration of SAM modules, design workflows for license reconciliation and entitlement tracking, maintain data integrity across CMDB and SAM systems, automate manual tasks using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub, develop compliance reports and KPIs, and act as a subject matter expert on SAM best practices while collaborating with procurement, infrastructure, and IT operations teams.
- • You will be part of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a global technology and professional services provider supporting U.S. government missions, where innovation, mission impact, and employee growth are central to the culture, particularly within the federal health and IT modernization space.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro Plus, ITAM/ITSM frameworks, enterprise asset lifecycle management, and AI-driven compliance insights, while advancing your ability to translate technical data into business value and drive process maturity toward optimized SAM program capabilities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, or work experience
- • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Administration with a strong focus on Software Asset Management Pro
- • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and support including entitlement management, normalization, and software compliance
- • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- • Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow SAM Pro Plus capabilities, including SAM/ITAM principles and their integration into enterprise infrastructure
- • Strong knowledge of discovery tools and data integrations (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, APIs)
- • Ability to define and create workflows for software asset lifecycles, from acquisition to disposal
- • Expertise in publisher-specific licensing agreements (e.g., Adobe, Oracle, IBM, Microsoft)
