- • As a ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize SAM solutions on the ServiceNow platform to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in achieving software license compliance, cost optimization, and IT asset management excellence.
- • Day to day, you will translate business requirements into technical designs, configure and develop ServiceNow SAM capabilities (including software models, license entitlements, reconciliation logic, and SaaS workflows), build integrations with Discovery, CMDB, procurement, and cloud platforms, and ensure alignment with CSDM and ITAM best practices using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and IntegrationHub.
- • You will join GDIT’s Software Engineering team supporting federal health initiatives, where innovation, mission impact, and technical excellence are prioritized in a remote-first, collaborative environment serving U.S. government agencies.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro, ITAM frameworks, and enterprise integrations while mentoring peers, contributing to reusable components, evaluating new platform releases, and driving automation and compliance outcomes for a critical federal client.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- • 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience with hands-on implementation of ServiceNow SAM
- • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs), plus experience with REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub, Discovery, CMDB, and ITAM modules
- • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to balance technical and business needs, and mentorship/leadership capabilities
- • Preferred: 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, SAM Pro expertise, CIS-SAM certification, understanding of software licensing, ITIL, and ITAM frameworks
