- • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, Sales, and Professional Services teams to ensure accurate scoping and alignment of services engagements from pre-sale through handoff.
- • Lead discovery sessions with customers and internal stakeholders to define professional services requirements, objectives, and success criteria during the sales cycle.
- • Develop, draft, and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly outline deliverables, timelines, resources, and pricing, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal capacity.
- • Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the pre-implementation phase, educating them on the value of professional services and guiding them toward optimal implementation outcomes.
- • Proactively identify and resolve scope creep, misaligned expectations, or delivery risks by facilitating stakeholder alignment and adjusting engagement parameters as needed.
- • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Product, and Partner teams to refine services messaging, create enablement materials, and improve sales collateral for more effective positioning of services offerings.
- • Support quarterly and annual revenue forecasting for Professional Services by providing accurate, data-driven estimates based on pipeline, scope, and resource availability.
- • Ensure all services engagements are structured to maximize customer success and long-term platform adoption, contributing to retention and expansion opportunities.
- • Maintain clear documentation of engagement scope, assumptions, and agreements to support smooth handoff to delivery teams and reduce post-sale ambiguity.
- • Partner with Professional Services leadership to identify trends in customer needs and recommend improvements to engagement models, pricing structures, or service offerings.
- • Drive consistency in how services are presented and sold across the organization by standardizing best practices and sharing insights from customer engagements.
- • Balance commercial objectives with customer success outcomes, ensuring services engagements are both profitable for Ironclad and impactful for the client.
- • Navigate complex, fast-paced SaaS environments with multiple stakeholders, adapting communication and strategy to suit technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- • Leverage technical understanding of SaaS platforms, configuration workflows, and implementation cycles to speak credibly with customers and internal technical teams.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes related to services scoping, contracting, and handoff to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-value for customers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5 years of experience in a Services Engagement Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role at a SaaS or tech company
- • Strong experience with SOW development, contract negotiation, and services sales support
- • Excellent program management skills — ability to track complex projects, communicate clearly, and escalate risks
- • A strong collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments (Sales, Legal, Product, Partners)
- • Technical acumen — experience working with SaaS platforms, configuration workflows, and understanding technical implementation cycles
