- • Are you a seasoned UI/UX Developer with a passion for crafting exceptional digital experiences and a knack for bringing them to life through code? Onhires Inc. is seeking a powerhouse Senior UI UX Developer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Agile team. You will be positioned at the very heart of our robust eCommerce stack, taking ownership of building scalable theme features, innovative Checkout Extensions, and high-performance tools that are instrumental in defining and elevating the shopping experience for a truly global audience.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in translating intricate business requirements into elegant, user-centric wireframes and high-fidelity designs within Figma. Your design prowess will be the foundation for the exceptional user journeys we aim to create. Following the design phase, you will dive deep into development, building fully-baked, performant website features from the ground up. You will leverage the latest advancements in Shopify technology, including Sections, Theme Blocks, and the Section Rendering API, to ensure our storefronts are not only visually stunning but also highly functional and efficient.
- • Your responsibilities extend to pushing the boundaries of the Shopify platform itself. You will be actively involved in developing UI Extensions for Checkout Extensibility and Customer Accounts, creating seamless and intuitive interactions for our customers at critical touchpoints of their purchase journey. This requires a deep understanding of user flows and the technical capabilities of the Shopify ecosystem.
- • As a Senior Developer, you will be a champion for technical excellence within the team. This involves writing clean, well-documented, and accessible code, adhering to best practices in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Web Components. You will also be responsible for providing accurate effort estimates within our Agile sprint cycles, contributing to predictable and successful project delivery. Your commitment to quality will ensure maintainability and scalability of our codebase.
- • Optimizing data flow and tracking is another critical aspect of this role. You will be tasked with building robust dataLayer events for Google Tag Manager (GTM), ensuring that our tracking and analytics infrastructure is world-class. This data will be crucial for informing business decisions and understanding user behavior across our platforms.
- • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work in close partnership with Solution Architects and Product Managers, acting as a bridge between vision and technical execution. Your ability to understand strategic goals and translate them into tangible technical deliverables will be highly valued. You will contribute to technical discussions, provide insights, and help shape the product roadmap.
- • Your technical toolkit should be comprehensive. We expect at least 8 years of experience in software design and development, with a significant portion, at least 3-4 years, being deeply immersed in the Shopify ecosystem. Your design skills should be expert-level in Figma, coupled with a strong understanding of core UX/UI principles. On the frontend, you should possess a strong mastery of Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and CSS/HTML. Experience with modern web development, including hands-on experience writing Custom Web Components and proficient utilization of version control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket, is essential. A proven track record in large-scale, international eCommerce environments is a must, demonstrating your ability to handle complexity and global reach.
- • Bonus points will be awarded for experience with Playwright and Unit Testing, which will further enhance our testing capabilities. Deep knowledge of Shopify Pixels and tracking within Checkout Extensibility is highly desirable, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions, which will streamline our development and deployment processes.
