đź“‹ Description

  • • Ping Identity is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer II to join our Government Cloud team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our mission-critical, cloud-based identity services. You will be responsible for establishing and optimizing solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining one of the world’s largest identity platforms, specifically within highly regulated environments that demand the utmost in security and compliance. This position is crucial for upholding our commitment to providing seamless and secure digital experiences for our global clientele, operating within stringent government cloud frameworks.
  • • As a Site Reliability Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical tasks. You will be tasked with designing and delivering robust production infrastructure that inherently prioritizes resiliency, comprehensive observability, and cost-efficiency. This involves not just building systems, but architecting them for long-term stability and performance. A significant part of your role will be to automate compliance processes. You will shape mission-critical solutions by developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring these pipelines seamlessly integrate automated security controls and rigorous compliance checks. This proactive approach to compliance is essential for operating within government cloud boundaries. You will play a key role in supporting regulated environments, specifically helping to build and maintain infrastructure within FedRAMP authorized boundaries. This includes ensuring continuous compliance with NIST 800-53 controls, a non-negotiable aspect of government cloud operations. Furthermore, you will manage Kubernetes at scale, orchestrating containerized workloads to guarantee high availability. This involves implementing self-healing patterns and automated scaling mechanisms to maintain optimal performance under varying loads. Collaboration and continuous growth are also central to this role; you will proactively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, and actively share your expertise to foster the development and learning of the entire team. Finally, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall reliability of our cloud solutions. This includes participating in strategic planning, identifying areas for improvement in our systems and processes, and joining an on-call rotation to ensure the continuous health and availability of our cloud services.
  • • You will be joining an engineering team that operates under a robust DevOps model, where Development and Operations functions are fully integrated. This collaborative environment fosters shared responsibility and rapid iteration. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to ensure our infrastructure is not only scalable and resilient but also meets the exceptionally rigorous security standards required for FedRAMP and other significant audit cycles. Ping Identity is a leader in intelligent, cloud identity solutions, enabling secure and seamless digital interactions for businesses and users worldwide. We are committed to fostering a culture of digital freedom, where employees are empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and celebrate differences. Our company serves some of the largest and most demanding enterprises globally, including a significant portion of the Fortune 100, and we are at the forefront of cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.
  • • In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure management within highly regulated government environments. You can expect to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and best practices in site reliability engineering, particularly within the context of FedRAMP compliance and NIST standards. You will have the chance to influence the design and implementation of critical infrastructure, contributing directly to the security and availability of a leading identity platform. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, skill development in areas like Kubernetes, Go programming, and cloud-native security, and the chance to work with a talented and supportive team dedicated to innovation and excellence in cybersecurity and identity management. You will also gain valuable experience in navigating complex compliance landscapes and contributing to solutions that protect sensitive data for government entities.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Significant experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including familiarity with Assured Workloads for regulated data.
  • • Experience programming in Go (Golang) or similar high-performance development languages.
  • • Deep experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker.
  • • Proven track record running cloud environments in compliance with FedRAMP (Moderate or High), including experience with Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) and audit readiness.
  • • Experience defining automated service deployments with provisions for networking, security, and configuration management (Infrastructure as Code).
