  • • As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager at SS&C Technologies, Inc., you will be at the forefront of ensuring the unwavering reliability, performance, and security of our critical cloud infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Director of Site Reliability Engineering, this pivotal role is designed for a motivated, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our Next Gen Cloud Native Intelligent Automation business, a key area driving our delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and cloud RPA capabilities, making your contribution directly impactful to our clients' success and our company's growth.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cloud engineers and SREs. This involves fostering a robust culture that champions ownership, embraces continuous learning, and is dedicated to achieving operational excellence. You will be actively involved in the career development and performance management of your team members, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to excel and grow within SS&C.
  • • In terms of operations, reliability, and performance, you will oversee the daily operations of our cloud environments, with a strong preference for AWS. This includes the implementation and meticulous maintenance of comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automation frameworks. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring strict adherence to security, governance, and cost management policies, balancing robust security with efficient resource utilization.
  • • You will collaborate closely with development and architecture teams to continuously optimize our infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, resilient, and cost-effective. A core focus will be on owning the availability, latency, performance, and capacity of our critical services. This involves defining, monitoring, and actively managing Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee that our systems consistently meet and exceed business requirements and user expectations.
  • • Leading incident response and postmortem processes is a critical function. You will drive thorough root cause analysis for any incidents, implementing effective long-term fixes and preventative measures to minimize future disruptions. This proactive approach to problem-solving is essential for maintaining high levels of service availability.
  • • A significant part of your role will be championing automation across the board. You will drive initiatives to reduce manual toil, thereby improving system reliability and freeing up your team to focus on more strategic, value-added tasks. This includes overseeing the development and maintenance of internal observability tools and platforms, ensuring we have the best-in-class visibility into our systems.
  • • You will work collaboratively with engineering and DevOps teams to embed reliability principles directly into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This proactive integration ensures that reliability is a consideration from the initial design phase through to deployment and ongoing operation.
  • • Strategic collaboration is key. You will partner effectively with product, engineering, DevOps, and Customer Support teams to align on priorities, roadmaps, and shared objectives. Your insights will contribute significantly to the strategic direction of our infrastructure and reliability initiatives, advocating for and implementing best practices in observability, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of cloud infrastructure and reliability at a leading financial services and healthcare technology company, working with a talented team and making a tangible impact on our business and clients.
