This role is pivotal in expanding our social media presence, fostering community engagement, and driving brand awareness through innovative and data-driven content strategies.
  • • You will be responsible for managing and growing our existing social media channels, ensuring they align with Change.org's social brand guidelines. This includes the potential to launch and cultivate new owned social media channels to reach broader audiences and explore emerging platforms.
  • • A core aspect of your role will be the creation of high-performance social media content, encompassing both dynamic video and compelling static posts. These assets will be designed to highlight the Change.org brand and the impactful petitions featured on our platform, with a strategic focus on achieving virality and maximizing reach.
  • • You will proactively build and nurture relationships with key influencers and social-first media outlets. The goal is to forge collaborative opportunities that will effectively amplify Change.org's content and extend our message to new, engaged audiences.

  • • Contributing to the overall development of the social media strategy, informed by a solid understanding of current best practices, will be expected.
  • • A nuanced understanding of the Canadian news landscape, including diverse political perspectives and coverage trends, is vital. You will demonstrate a willingness to engage with and support policy-compliant campaigns, even those that may not align with personal views, reflecting Change.org’s commitment to being an open platform.
  • • Proficiency in using essential editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, will be necessary for content creation.
  • • Experience with AI tools and applications relevant to social media content creation and analysis is also a requirement.
  • • The capacity to create content in French is considered a significant asset, broadening the reach and impact of our Canadian social media efforts.
  • • Ultimately, you will play a critical role in driving brand affinity and ensuring Change.org's mission resonates powerfully with Canadians through strategic and creative social media engagement.
