- • Lead the architectural transformation of Applaud from COBOL/C++ to modern C# – reverse-engineering procedural logic and rebuilding it with object-oriented design
- • Write production-quality code in C#/.NET and Python – this is a hands-on role, not just oversight
- • Develop and maintain WPF desktop application components
- • Leverage Claude and Claude Code to accelerate development workflows and pioneer AI-assisted modernization approaches
- • Establish best practices for AI-assisted development across the India team
- • Contribute to the Definian Data Platform (DDP) architecture and development as a secondary focus
- • Mentor and guide India-based developers (C# and Python teams), conducting code reviews and establishing quality standards
- • Collaborate with the US Senior Architect to ensure architectural alignment across teams
- • Translate high-level architectural decisions into implementable designs and patterns
- • Identify and address technical debt while balancing delivery timelines
- • Document architectural decisions, design patterns, and technical standards
- • Serve as a trusted technical partner to leadership on this business-critical initiative
- • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery commitments
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software development experience with progressive responsibility
- • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (Core/.NET 6+)
- • Experience with modern UI frameworks (WPF, WinForms, MAUI, Blazor, or similar)
- • Strong proficiency in Python
- • Experience with Visual Studio Professional
- • Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
- • Experience with relational databases and SQL
- • Experience mentoring or leading other developers
- • Strong communication skills – ability to work effectively with US-based team members across time zones
- • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days in Hyderabad office)
- • Graduate in Engineering or Bachelor of Science
