- • As Fundamental's inaugural People Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for our ambitious growth trajectory. This is a unique opportunity to shape the people infrastructure of a category-defining AI company from its nascent stages, working directly with visionary founders who are alumni of DeepMind.
- • You will be entrusted with the end-to-end ownership of People Operations, a critical function that underpins our ability to attract, retain, and empower top talent. This role demands a blend of strategic foresight and hands-on execution, perfect for an individual who thrives in building and optimizing processes within a dynamic, technically sophisticated environment.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire employee lifecycle. This includes designing and implementing a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success, fostering a culture of continuous engagement and development, and managing a thoughtful offboarding process.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve meticulously managing employee-related administrative operations. This encompasses the complexities of visa sponsorship and work permit applications, ensuring the accuracy and security of employment contracts, and maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date employee records.
- • You will also be the central point of contact for all HR operations, including the accurate and timely processing of payroll, the administration and optimization of employee benefits packages, the management and enhancement of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and the development and maintenance of essential HR documentation.
- • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions will be a core duty. You will navigate the intricacies of international employment, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure Fundamental operates with the highest ethical and legal standards.
- • Beyond administrative tasks, you will serve as a trusted advisor and confidential resource for employees, addressing their people-related inquiries and concerns with empathy, discretion, and efficiency. Your ability to build strong relationships and foster a supportive work environment will be paramount.
