- • As a Workday Operations Engineer at Nelnet, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the core Workday system that powers HR, finance, and payroll operations across a diversified organization serving students, educators, and consumers nationwide. Your work ensures system reliability, data integrity, and seamless integration—directly supporting Nelnet’s mission to create opportunities for people where they live, learn, and work.
- • Day to day, you will monitor Workday system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service for thousands of users. You will troubleshoot service requests, coordinate system updates and releases, and manage change control processes to safely migrate configurations from non-production to production environments.
- • You will develop and support integrations between Workday and third-party systems using tools such as Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs, and web services, enabling seamless data flow across HR, finance, accounting, and IT platforms. Additionally, you will enforce security policies and data governance standards, participate in internal and external audits, and produce compliance documentation as needed.
- • Collaboration is central to this role—you will partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to analyze workflows, recommend process improvements, and enhance system efficiencies. You will also provide training and technical support to end-users, helping them navigate Workday effectively and confidently.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 3+ years of experience as a Business, Systems, or Technical Analyst
- • Proven experience with Workday system administration, configurations, integrations, and security
- • Experience with Accounting, Finance, Budgeting, HRMS, and ITIL applications
- • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain security clearance
