• • As a Software Architect at Chainalysis, you will be at the forefront of innovation, shaping the future of our Hexagate cybersecurity platform. This pivotal role involves defining and driving the architectural vision for a cutting-edge system that operates at the intersection of blockchain technology and cybersecurity. You will be instrumental in building a real-time, multi-chain monitoring platform designed to protect on-chain and web3 assets from constant threats. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the platform's ability to monitor numerous blockchains with exceptional speed, reliability, and sophisticated detection logic, tackling complex infrastructure and architecture challenges.
• • You will partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to chart the course for the platform's evolution over the next 6 to 18 months, translating strategic objectives into robust, scalable systems. This includes meticulously defining boundaries, establishing clear contracts, and implementing effective patterns across critical components such as data ingestion, threat detection, incident response, and customer-facing workflows. Your focus will be on designing for a "moat" – a defensible and resilient system that can withstand adversarial attacks.
• • A key aspect of this role is to "scale with speed." You will be responsible for enhancing the platform's velocity, performance, and overall scalability, while simultaneously ensuring it remains agile and easy to modify as business needs evolve. This requires a deep understanding of distributed systems and the ability to architect for both current demands and future growth.
• • Leading through influence is paramount in this small, dynamic team. You will inspire and guide fellow engineers, foster alignment through rigorous design reviews, and elevate the technical standards of the team without impeding delivery velocity. Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts and build consensus will be vital.
• • The systems you will build are at the heart of our mission. This includes a real-time, multi-chain monitoring platform engineered on high-throughput streaming technologies and low-latency services. You will develop a sophisticated detection framework capable of supporting diverse execution modes, including monitoring Domain Specific Language (DSL) rules, statistical and anomaly models, Machine Learning (ML) signals, and threat intelligence feeds.
• • Furthermore, you will focus on building "operable systems." This entails establishing robust observability standards, defining clear failure modes, implementing effective replay and backfill strategies, and ensuring predictable, reliable deployments. The goal is to create a platform that is not only powerful but also maintainable and resilient.
• • A critical requirement for the platform is its ability to enable the rapid addition of new blockchains, new types of monitoring, and new response workflows without necessitating a complete redesign. This demands a highly modular and flexible architectural approach.
• • Your contributions will directly impact Chainalysis's ability to provide unparalleled insights into blockchain activity, empowering businesses and governments to navigate the cryptocurrency ecosystem safely and confidently.
