📋 Description

• As Software Architect - Platform Integration at Olix USA Inc., you will serve as the technical authority shaping how OLIX’s next-generation Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU) systems operate as hyperscale AI infrastructure, directly enabling the company’s mission to overcome critical bottlenecks in AI compute by defining the architectural foundation for cluster orchestration, platform management, networking, and deployment at scale.
• You will partner with the Software Engineering Director to set long-term technical direction, translate business strategy into architectural priorities, and own the integrity of the platform vision across its full lifecycle — ensuring that architectural decisions are not only visionary but executable, reliable, and aligned with the demands of hyperscale AI workloads.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include defining architectural principles, interface contracts, and standards for scheduling, fleet operations, ingress/egress, and platform management; making hard technical calls across orchestration, networking, and deployment strategy; driving cross-team alignment through influence rather than authority; and mentoring senior engineers by raising the technical ceiling through rigorous design thinking and code-level engagement.
• You will work within a elite engineering culture that values deep technical rigor, where your expertise in distributed systems, hyperscale networking, and production reliability will directly impact the performance, scalability, and energy efficiency of OLIX’s breakthrough hardware — placing you at the forefront of a paradigm shift in AI infrastructure.
• In this role, you will achieve mastery in translating cutting-edge hardware innovation into scalable software platforms, gain influence as a technical leader without formal authority, and leave a lasting architectural legacy on one of the most ambitious AI infrastructure projects of the decade — while working with elite tooling (M4 Macs, 3D printing lab), premium healthcare, and a London-based environment designed for deep focus and innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record delivering large-scale distributed infrastructure or platform architecture that has shipped across multiple teams in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cluster orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Borg, or similar), hyperscale networking, and fleet operations — with hands-on experience designing and sustaining systems at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical outcomes in high-reliability production environments, including SLO definition, observability, incident management, and security at hyperscale.
• Full lifecycle experience from early architecture through production operations, long-tail reliability, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
• Exceptional technical communication skills — capable of articulating complex architectural decisions clearly to engineers, managers, and senior leadership, and producing design documentation that becomes organisational reference.
• Experience influencing technical direction without direct authority, using rigour, clarity, and credibility to drive alignment across engineering teams.
