- • Join the WEX Inc. NAM Experiences team as a Front-End Software Development Engineer 2, a pivotal role focused on crafting intuitive, high-performance web applications that are integral to our large fleet and transportation clients.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing platforms that empower fleet managers to issue and manage credit for their drivers and operators, covering everything from digital spend controls to real-time transaction insights.
- • Your primary focus will be on building robust, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that streamline daily operations for fleet managers, enabling them to configure controls, access critical reports, and manage their fleets more effectively.
- • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications that meet stringent quality and reliability standards.
- • Contribute to the evolution of shared component libraries and design-system assets, ensuring consistency and efficiency across multiple Mobility applications.
- • Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers to co-develop system designs, fostering alignment and shared understanding across different engineering teams.
- • Implement comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, concurrency tests, and load/performance tests, to ensure application stability and quality.
- • Work alongside tech leads and senior engineers to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and technical debt, driving incremental improvements in scalability and stability.
- • Leverage automation frameworks to enhance testing, monitoring, auto-scaling, continuous integration, and deployment processes, thereby accelerating time to market for new features and improvements.
- • Partner effectively with Product, Design, and UX teams to translate user needs and design visions into high-quality, engaging user experiences.
- • Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, approving changes, and seeking revisions to maintain code quality and adhere to best practices.
- • Take ownership of troubleshooting production issues, devising effective fixes, authoring detailed root cause analysis documents, and implementing measures to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
- • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including design documents, run books, change management documentation, and readiness plans, to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
- • Provide essential live-site production support, ensuring rapid incident resolution and actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- • Gain valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge automation and AI-driven engineering solutions, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
- • Contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy of the NAM Experiences team, helping to shape the future of our fleet management solutions.
- • Champion engineering best practices and advocate for code quality, performance, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.
- • Engage in continuous learning and skill development to stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and methodologies.
