- • Software Development Engineer III - Custom Objects (Backend) at HighLevel Inc. is a critical role focused on building and owning scalable backend systems that handle high write volumes, real-time state synchronization, and burst traffic patterns for an AI-powered business operating system serving over 1 million businesses globally.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance microservices, optimizing API throughput (currently handling 4+ billion daily hits), ensuring system reliability under unpredictable traffic spikes, and owning end-to-end system performance for custom object functionality within the platform.
- • HighLevel operates as a global, remote-first organization with over 2,000 team members across 10+ countries, prioritizing initiative, clarity, and execution while empowering engineers to build systems that support millions of businesses worldwide through shared infrastructure and innovation.
- • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and high-scale backend engineering, directly contributing to platform resilience and scalability while gaining ownership experience over systems that process 250+ terabytes of data and support over 1 million domain names.
