- • Build and maintain systems that integrate Heidi’s AI Care Partner directly into UK clinical workflows, ensuring seamless operation within existing EHRs and healthcare IT infrastructure.
- • Design and implement AI-powered pipelines that understand, extract, reconcile, and draft clinical documentation while adhering to UK healthcare compliance, billing, and funding rules.
- • Develop end-to-end user-facing features that make Heidi feel like a native capability within clinician workflows, not a third-party plugin, with emphasis on usability, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- • Write clean, testable, and observable code with strong error handling and monitoring to support systems critical to clinical operations and patient care.
- • Own the full lifecycle of features—from concept and design through deployment and iterative improvement—ensuring delivered solutions directly improve clinician efficiency and practice revenue.
- • Build agentic workflow systems where AI assists with documentation tasks, maintains human-in-the-loop control, provides audit trails, and ensures transparency in decision-making.
- • Collaborate daily through pairing, code reviews, and shared ownership of design and implementation with engineers, clinicians, and product stakeholders.
- • Translate complex operational constraints of UK healthcare into technical requirements, ensuring solutions respect regulatory, logistical, and workflow realities.
- • Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate development while rigorously validating outputs for correctness, safety, and compliance.
- • Continuously learn how healthcare organisations operate in practice, particularly around documentation, billing, and clinician-patient interactions, and apply those insights to product refinement.
- • Maintain a strong focus on quality, stability, and scalability; prioritize incremental progress that builds trust without disrupting critical care systems.
- • Contribute to a culture of precision, pace, and ownership by making decisions grounded in data, proof, and direct feedback from clinicians and operations teams.
- • Participate in shaping Heidi’s expansion into international markets by applying insights from UK healthcare delivery to global product development.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-4 years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping complex systems that real users depend on.
- • Strong full-stack fundamentals and experience contributing to user-facing products end-to-end.
- • Fluency with AI coding tools and experience using them to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigor in correctness and validation.
- • Experience with agentic frameworks, modelling complex domains, orchestration, and event-driven architectures is a plus.
- • Ownership and follow-through: take responsibility for committed work, communicate changes clearly, and unblock or escalate early.
- • Comfort with ambiguity: engage with messy problems, ask good questions, and drive toward practical, shippable solutions.
