📋 Description

• • Shape the technology that keeps older adults safe and independent at home. As a Software Engineer at Jukebox Health you will own the full lifecycle of features that power our nationwide network of clinicians, suppliers, and installers—turning complex healthcare workflows into elegant, scalable software.
• • Architect and ship production-grade code across our React/TypeScript front-end and Python/Django back-end. You’ll design APIs, data models, and integrations that connect electronic health records, claims systems, and IoT-enabled home devices, ensuring every modification we deliver is accurate, timely, and reimbursable.
• • Drive product strategy from the keyboard up. You’ll collaborate daily with clinical operations, product managers, and customer success to translate real-world safety hazards—loose rugs, steep stairs, inaccessible bathrooms—into digital solutions that prevent falls and hospitalizations.
• • Build for scale and compliance. Our platform processes thousands of assessments, quotes, and installations each month while meeting HIPAA, SOC 2, and payer-specific security requirements. You’ll implement robust testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring so the system is always available when a member’s safety is on the line.
• • Champion accessibility and inclusive design. The users of our software include older adults with limited vision or dexterity, occupational therapists in the field on tablets, and installers in low-bandwidth environments. You’ll ensure every interface is WCAG-compliant and optimized for screen readers, large fonts, and offline capability.
• • Instrument everything. You’ll embed analytics and event tracking so we can measure clinical outcomes—reduction in falls, ER visits, readmissions—and continuously refine the product based on data, not assumptions.
• • Lead technical decision-making in a remote-first culture. We default to asynchronous communication (Notion, Slack, Loom) and ship code daily. You’ll write clear RFCs, conduct blameless post-mortems, and mentor junior engineers through pair programming and thoughtful code reviews.
• • Experiment fearlessly. Whether it’s piloting computer-vision models to auto-detect trip hazards from photos or integrating smart-home sensors that alert caregivers to nighttime wandering, you’ll have budget and runway to prototype bold ideas that advance our mission.
• • Own reliability on the ground. When a last-minute code change risks delaying a critical grab-bar installation for a 92-year-old member, you’ll jump on a Zoom with the installer, hot-fix the bug, and document the incident so it never happens again.
• • Grow with us. Jukebox Health tripled revenue last year and expanded from three to thirty states. Your code will directly enable that growth, and you’ll receive equity, mentorship, and a clear path to senior or staff-level roles as we scale.
