- • Own the health, reliability, and evolution of Labrynth’s core platform across backend, infrastructure, and AI systems
- • Make architectural and technology decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, choose tools, and stand behind the choices for production systems
- • Support the engineering team by reviewing code, mentoring, unblocking teammates, and setting technical standards
- • Tackle complex, ambiguous technical problems without obvious solutions and drive them to resolution
- • Build and deploy production services on cloud platforms including GCP and AWS
- • Design and maintain APIs that serve both internal systems and client-facing products
- • Collaborate directly with clients to understand their regulatory and operational challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- • Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and overall developer experience across the engineering team
- • Maintain and enhance infrastructure supporting AI/LLM systems including agent pipelines, RAG, and document processing workflows
- • Work in a forward-deployed engineering model, embedded with clients to rapidly discover needs and ship production-quality solutions
- • Contribute to the technical direction of the company as a foundational engineer in a small, high-velocity team
- • Operate in a modern AI-native development environment using tools like Claude Code and Cursor
- • Balance speed, scalability, and maintainability in all technology decisions
- • Ensure production reliability and system integrity under high-stakes regulatory environments
- • Communicate clearly with clients and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical execution with business outcomes
- • Participate in client-facing discussions to shape how solutions are built and delivered
- • Raise the quality bar across the team through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
- • Work across the stack — backend, infrastructure, and occasionally frontend — as needed to deliver end-to-end solutions
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python skills
- • Experience owning and operating production systems, having been the person responsible when things break
- • Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions and communicate them clearly
- • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
- • Experience with Django or FastAPI, Celery, and Redis
- • Comfort working across the stack — backend, infrastructure, and occasionally frontend
- • Track record of mentoring or supporting other engineers, formally or informally
- • Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions and cross-functional collaboration
