- • Design, code, test, deploy, and operate frontend applications, backend services, data pipelines, and AI systems that power models, specialized reasoning and resolution agents, and human-in-the-loop AI features for healthcare revenue automation
- • Run A/B tests and ship production features directly tied to real business outcomes in a high-impact healthcare technology environment
- • Partner closely with product managers and operators to transform cumbersome manual workflows into agentic and AI-driven automations
- • Collaborate with AI and ML engineers to build AI-native systems that integrate deterministic logic, traditional machine learning models, and large language models (LLMs)
- • Own features or services end-to-end in production, from initial design through deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement
- • Lead independent projects with increasing technical complexity and ambiguity, delivering scoped work or guiding junior engineers on shared initiatives
- • Design and build secure, compliant, and reliable systems at scale, handling hundreds of millions of patient encounters and billions of workflow actions annually
- • Debug real-world production issues related to performance, reliability, and data correctness across distributed systems
- • Engage directly with users to understand their needs and co-design solutions alongside product teams
- • Contribute to technical and product direction with meaningful ownership and influence over system architecture and feature prioritization
- • Work within a production environment that processes 180M+ claims, 550M+ patient encounters, and 1.2B+ workflow actions each year across 95 of the top 100 U.S. health systems
- • Participate in technical deep-dives including pseudo-coding exercises and systems design discussions (not Leetcode-style problems)
- • Attend an in-person final interview at one of the company’s talent hubs (San Francisco, New York, Austin, or Chicago) with travel arranged and accommodated
- • Operate within a startup-level ownership culture while delivering enterprise-scale impact across a national healthcare platform
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-6+ years of experience building and operating production software systems
- • Demonstrated experience owning features or services end-to-end in production
- • Comfort leading projects independently from design through deployment and iteration
- • Experience scaling production systems and debugging real-world issues in performance, reliability, and data correctness
- • Curiosity about applied AI and eagerness to deepen expertise in AI-native systems
- • Strong focus on clean code, reliability, and production readiness
