📋 Description

• Software Engineer - Airflow Infrastructure role at Astronomer, Inc. focused on building the critical layer connecting Apache Airflow to enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include engineering backend services with high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code; partnering with engineers, product, customer reliability support, and leadership; conducting code reviews; optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability; investigating and prototyping improvements; creating technical documentation; and participating in on-call rotations for incident troubleshooting.
• The role is part of Astronomer’s R&D organization, which develops Astro, the unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow, trusted by over 800 enterprises to accelerate reliable data products and unlock AI value.
• The engineer will gain deep expertise in cloud-native systems, distributed systems, and large-scale infrastructure, directly impacting how global organizations orchestrate data pipelines at scale while working on cutting-edge challenges in reliability, scalability, and user experience.
