📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end development of Strike’s flagship Android application, shaping how millions of users across 100+ countries interact with Bitcoin every day. You will architect, build, and refine features that let people buy, sell, pay bills, and borrow against their bitcoin holdings—all from the palm of their hand.
• • Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and security experts in a fully-remote, async-first culture. Expect fast feedback loops, weekly releases, and the autonomy to propose new product directions backed by data and user insight.
• • Translate complex financial workflows into delightful, lightning-fast mobile experiences. From onboarding flows that take under 60 seconds to real-time Lightning Network payments that settle instantly, you will obsess over every millisecond and pixel.
• • Champion best-in-class Android engineering practices: Kotlin-first architecture, Jetpack Compose UI, MVI/state-machine patterns, exhaustive unit & UI testing, and rigorous performance profiling. You will set the technical bar for the team and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and internal tech talks.
• • Build bullet-proof security layers that protect private keys, biometric data, and transaction integrity. You will work closely with our security team to implement hardware-backed keystore integrations, secure enclaves, and advanced cryptography—because when users trust us with their money, there is zero tolerance for compromise.
• • Instrument, monitor, and optimize the app in production. Using Firebase, Datadog, and custom analytics pipelines, you will track crash-free sessions, cold-start times, and conversion funnels, turning raw data into actionable product improvements.
• • Pioneer new features that push the boundaries of what Bitcoin can do: NFC tap-to-pay, QR-based remittances, stablecoin off-ramps, and DeFi-style borrowing. You will prototype rapidly, A/B test aggressively, and iterate until the experience feels magical.
• • Contribute to open-source projects that underpin the Bitcoin ecosystem. Whether it’s improving the Lightning Development Kit, submitting patches to Bitcoin Core, or releasing our own Kotlin libraries, your code will impact developers far beyond Strike.
• • Shape our international expansion by localizing the app for new regions, optimizing for low-bandwidth environments, and ensuring compliance with evolving financial regulations. You will travel virtually alongside our compliance and ops teams to understand how Bitcoin solves real-world problems in Latin America, Africa, and beyond.
