- • Build and maintain pricing algorithms and auction mechanisms that power Clipboard Health’s healthcare staffing marketplace, optimizing for take rate, margins, and marketplace efficiency.
- • Design and implement shared marketplace metrics systems with automated variance detection and notification pipelines to ensure data integrity and operational visibility across teams.
- • Conduct causal modeling and analytical investigations to uncover root causes of metric fluctuations, translating insights into actionable engineering solutions.
- • Develop and scale experimentation frameworks to test hypotheses around pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and user behavior in real-time marketplace conditions.
- • Partner with platform and data teams to build and maintain ML pipelines and rules engines that support automated decision-making across the marketplace.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of quantitative systems, from data ingestion and modeling to deployment and monitoring, using a TypeScript stack including React, Ionic, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, and Postgres.
- • Collaborate with product teams to translate ambiguous business problems into quantifiable engineering requirements and scalable technical solutions.
- • Diagnose and resolve complex architectural challenges that arise when scaling marketplace systems to support millions of users and transactions.
- • Maintain a dual focus on software engineering excellence and data-driven analysis, balancing code quality with statistical rigor in all deliverables.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tooling, documentation, and processes to enhance team velocity and system reliability in a remote-first environment.
- • Participate in async, project-based assessments that mirror real-world engineering tasks, reflecting Clipboard’s commitment to evaluating practical competence over resume credentials.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js, NestJS)
- • Experience building and deploying production-grade pricing, auction, or marketplace algorithms
- • Strong foundation in data analysis, causal inference, and statistical modeling
- • Comfort working end-to-end across frontend, backend, and data infrastructure
- • Demonstrated ability to partner with product and data teams to solve ambiguous business problems
- • Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments
