• • Your responsibilities will be broad and impactful, including the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of new backend services and APIs that form the backbone of our platform. This requires a meticulous approach to coding, testing, and deployment.
• • You will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring that our development workflow is efficient, automated, and reliable. This includes optimizing build times, managing deployment strategies, and ensuring code quality.
• • A significant part of your role will involve maintaining and optimizing key backend resources. This includes, but is not limited to, our databases, caching layers, and load balancers, ensuring they operate at peak performance and availability.
• • You will take ownership of and operate key backend production services, acting as a primary point of contact for their stability and performance. This requires a deep understanding of the services you manage and the ability to respond effectively to incidents.
• • You will be tasked with instituting and refining technological and operational processes aimed at continuously improving our site reliability. This involves implementing best practices in monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-mortems.
• • Beyond core infrastructure, you will actively contribute to ongoing company product discussions, offering technical perspectives that inform product strategy and feature development. This cross-functional collaboration is key to our success.
• • You will coordinate closely with fellow software engineers, machine learning engineers, and product designers to collectively determine and execute on platform requirements, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across all teams.
• • This role includes participation in an on-call rotation, approximately one week per month, during daylight hours, to ensure the continuous availability and performance of our critical systems.
