• • As a Software Engineer, Backend on the Institutional - Custody team at Coinbase, you will be instrumental in building the foundational backend systems that power the future of the global financial system. This role is critical to Coinbase Institutional, the division dedicated to providing cutting-edge platforms for the world's largest financial institutions to trade, custody, and participate in the rapidly evolving cryptoeconomy.
• • You will be joining the Reporting and Monetization team, a vital group responsible for creating robust backend systems that transform every event within Coinbase Prime into reliable, audit-ready records. These systems are the backbone for client reporting, billing, tax outputs, and statements, serving Coinbase's most strategic institutional clients.
• • Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and scaling high-volume, event-driven pipelines and scalable services that are essential for the entire institutional platform's operation. This includes developing new financing products and features, as well as building new reporting, monitoring tools, frameworks, and APIs.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves articulating and executing a long-term technical vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate product and technical visions into a tangible, actionable roadmap each quarter.
