📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer on the Foundations, Settlements and Transfers team at Coinbase Institutional, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the global financial system by building and scaling the core infrastructure that powers digital asset transactions. This role places you at the heart of Coinbase's mission to increase economic freedom, focusing on the critical systems that enable the seamless and secure movement of funds across fiat, crypto, and internal ledgers.
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of new financial products and features, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet the highest standards of reliability and security. This involves translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions that drive innovation within the institutional crypto space.
• A key aspect of your role will be to create and build new reporting mechanisms, monitoring tools, robust frameworks, and essential APIs. These components are vital for maintaining transparency, operational efficiency, and providing the necessary data insights for both internal teams and external institutional clients.
• Collaboration is paramount. • Experience with blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum is highly valued, as it provides a deeper understanding of the underlying technology you will be working with.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, including designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
• Proven ability to compose a service-oriented architecture and write high-quality, well-tested code.
• Passion for building an open financial system and belief in the power of crypto and blockchain technology.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift (nice-to-have).
• Experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems (nice-to-have).
• Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) (nice-to-have).
