• • Primer Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer, Backend, to join our dynamic Partners team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of global payments and commerce by enhancing our unified payment infrastructure. You will be instrumental in empowering businesses worldwide to unlock their full payment potential, enabling them to gain control over their payment stacks, craft unique commerce experiences, accelerate their product roadmaps, and significantly increase their payment success rates. • • As a key member of the Partners team, you will contribute to reimagining how we enable third-party payment service providers to leverage Primer’s robust infrastructure. This involves building a scalable and flexible platform designed for exponential growth. Your work will directly impact critical areas such as fallbacks, fraud prevention, network tokenization, and the development of insightful observability dashboards.
• • Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with a talented group of backend, full-stack, and frontend engineers, as well as our dedicated Product team. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for delivering innovative solutions.
• • Primer operates with a strong ‘you build it, you own it’ philosophy. This means you will be deeply involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from infrastructure considerations to rigorous testing and quality assurance. This hands-on ownership fosters a sense of accountability and allows for rapid iteration and improvement.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include the design and implementation of core backend services, focusing on high performance and the complexities inherent in distributed systems. You will be expected to write clear, modern, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best practices.
