Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET) at Clario, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-grade, cloud-hosted applications that power Clario’s healthcare technology platform, directly contributing to the delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable digital health solutions that improve patient outcomes and provider experiences.
  • • Your work will influence architectural direction, mentor peers, and drive technical excellence in a fast-paced Agile environment, ensuring that Clario’s platform remains innovative, compliant, and capable of scaling to meet growing demand in the regulated healthcare sector.
  • • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable C#/.NET microservices and front-end features using Angular, translating business requirements into robust, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
  • • You will build and integrate RESTful APIs, optimize SQL Server performance through query tuning and indexing strategies, and ensure high-quality, testable code that supports long-term system reliability and performance under load.
  • • You will architect and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch, following infrastructure-as-code principles and implementing security hardening, monitoring, and auto-scaling configurations.
  • • You will lead technical discussions in architecture review boards, influence system design decisions, and propose pragmatic solutions that balance speed to market with long-term maintainability, scalability, and security—acting as a technical advisor to product and engineering leads.
  • • You will implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end), establish and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or similar tools, and lead root cause analysis of complex production incidents to prevent recurrence and improve system observability.
  • • You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence across the team.
  • • You will document architectural decisions, API contracts, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks in Confluence or similar tools, ensuring clarity, continuity, and knowledge retention across team members and shifts.
  • • You will champion the adoption of AI coding assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot and Tabnine, providing training, creating best practice guides, and measuring impact on developer productivity and code quality to drive team-wide efficiency gains.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, and security teams in cross-functional squads to deliver features on schedule, participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming, and ensure alignment with compliance requirements in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, PIPEDA).
  • • You will actively participate in Agile or SAFe development processes, continuously evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., .NET 8, Blazor, WebAssembly), and propose pilot projects or proof-of-concepts to improve development velocity, system performance, or developer experience.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on C#/.NET development.
  • • Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET microservices and modern Angular (version 12+), including experience with state management, RxJS, and component architecture.
  • • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM, for deploying and managing scalable, secure applications.
  • • Strong experience with SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing, stored procedures, and performance tuning in high-throughput environments.
  • • Proven ability to set priorities, communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and drive outcomes in Agile teams.
  • • Experience leading the adoption or training of teams on AI coding assistance tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) to improve development efficiency and code quality.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive compensation package aligned with market rates for senior software engineers in Canada.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents.
  • • Flexible/remote work options, allowing you to work from anywhere in Canada with the support needed to succeed in a distributed team.
  • • Employee wellness and assistance programs, including mental health resources, fitness subsidies, and wellness stipends to support holistic well-being.
