Software Engineer, Collections Experience

📋 Description

• • As a Software Engineer on the Collections Experience team at Notion, you will own the product experience for Notion’s database block and everything built on top of it—including properties, views, forms, permissions, and more—enabling users to model their work exactly as they imagine, from simple lists to complex workflows.
• • Day to day, you will design and ship new database properties and views, build scalable permission models for enterprise customers, collaborate with the Agent team to enhance AI-driven database interactions, partner with product and design to scope ambiguous features with strong technical judgment, and elevate team standards in code review, testing, and technical design.
• • You’ll join a team of 8+ engineers, designers, and product managers across San Francisco and New York City, working in a hybrid environment with required in-office Anchor Days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays) to foster deep collaboration and innovation.
• • In this role, you will deepen your full-stack expertise in TypeScript, influence the evolution of a core Notion primitive used by millions, gain experience scaling systems with long-term data model consequences, and grow your product intuition by turning ambiguous problems into shipped, impactful features.
