- • As a Software Engineer on the Data Acquisition team at Lucidworks, you will develop and maintain connector plugins that serve as the critical link between client data sources and Lucidworks’ search and personalization platform, enabling seamless indexing from filestores, databases, CRMs, and intranets.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include building new connector plugins, fixing bugs, updating existing connectors to accommodate changes in downstream systems, and contributing to the development and operation of the Data Integration Platform to ensure reliable and efficient data ingestion.
- • You will join a diverse, global team focused on delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions that power digital experiences for major enterprises across retail, finance, manufacturing, and B2B sectors.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools, while strengthening your skills in system design, debugging, and critical thinking through real-world integration challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proficiency in modern software development practices and comfort using AI-assisted coding and debugging tools (e.g., large language models) to enhance productivity without compromising design judgment or critical thinking.
- • Strong experience in developing and maintaining software connectors or integrations with systems such as databases, file systems, CRMs, or intranets.
- • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code in one or more programming languages relevant to backend or plugin development.
- • Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and data ingestion pipelines in enterprise environments.
- • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
