- • Build and expand the Financial Platform systems that ensure accurate, traceable, and audit-ready financial data across Perk’s global operations.
- • Design durable, scalable solutions for reconciliation and reporting systems that automate financial workflows and eliminate manual intervention.
- • Translate complex business logic from ERP integrations into reliable code, ensuring every transaction is correctly represented across internal and external financial systems.
- • Develop robust APIs and third-party integrations with accounting platforms, expense systems, and HR tools to enable seamless data flow and automation.
- • Contribute to the core infrastructure powering Perk’s financial operations, including payment processing across currencies, payment methods, and billing setups.
- • Implement observability practices using logs, metrics, and traces to monitor system health, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot production issues in real time.
- • Apply CS fundamentals—data structures, algorithms, and relational modeling—to build performant, scalable logic for high-volume financial transactions.
- • Write and maintain high-quality code with unit and integration tests, actively participate in code reviews, and ensure documentation remains clear and up to date.
- • Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces using semantic HTML, CSS, and modern React patterns for financial dashboards and reporting tools.
- • Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to refine requirements, assess technical feasibility, and prioritize features based on user impact and business needs.
- • Use AI tools integrated into the engineering workflow—including AI-assisted code generation, PR reviews, and context surfacing in production incidents—as an active collaborator, not just a passive assistant.
- • Own the full lifecycle of features: from understanding customer pain points with product teams, through design, coding, deployment, and measuring real-world impact.
- • Contribute to identity and access management systems, including SSO, user provisioning, roles, permissions, and approval workflows to ensure secure and controlled financial access.
- • Support internal customer support tools that enable the care team to resolve financial issues faster, from booking modifications to invoice discrepancies.
- • Help build reporting dashboards and analytics features that give finance teams and business leaders visibility into spend, compliance, and sustainability metrics like carbon footprint tracking.
- • Ensure all systems are resilient through proper error handling, retries, idempotency, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
- • Maintain a product mindset by shipping features iteratively, focusing on measurable user impact and rapid feedback loops.
- • Continuously adopt new technologies and seek feedback to grow both technically and professionally within a high-autonomy engineering environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building scalable backend systems and third-party financial integrations
- • Strong understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and relational modeling
- • Experience with React and modern frontend development for financial dashboards
- • Ability to write and maintain high-quality, tested code with active participation in code reviews
- • Proficiency in using observability tools (logs, metrics, traces) for production monitoring and troubleshooting
- • Comfort using AI tools as active collaborators in coding, reviewing, and deploying software
