📋 Description

• As a Frontend Engineer at Farfetch, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-scale web products that power a global luxury fashion marketplace serving customers in over 190 countries. Your work will directly impact the shopping experience for millions of fashion enthusiasts by contributing to a scalable design system and open-source ecosystem.
• Day to day, you will transition from feature development to owning the full technical lifecycle of web products, including designing, implementing, testing, and optimizing user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, accessibility, and scalability while contributing to architectural decisions and open-source initiatives.
• You will join a global engineering team based in Porto or Lisbon, operating in a hybrid model that balances remote focus with in-person collaboration. The office is located in a vibrant business hub near Porto, fostering connections within a large community of tech professionals in northern Portugal.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in frontend architecture, design systems, and open-source contribution while gaining influence over product direction and technical strategy. You will achieve mastery in building scalable, high-performance web applications used by a global luxury audience.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design principles
• Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems or component libraries
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment with global teams
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications
