- • Design, develop, and deploy fullstack features for a consumer finance platform serving millions of users, using React, React Native, and TypeScript on the frontend and Java services on the backend hosted in Google Cloud.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of product features from concept to production, including UI/UX implementation, API design, database schema optimization, and deployment via automated CI/CD pipelines.
- • Optimize relational database schemas and SQL queries to ensure high performance for over 1 million users, with a focus on scalability and response time improvements.
- • Build and integrate third-party APIs to enable critical financial functionalities such as payroll connectivity, payment processing, and income verification.
- • Implement and maintain a GraphQL API layer to support multiple internal and external applications, ensuring consistent data modeling and efficient data fetching.
- • Develop and enhance automated testing systems including visual regression detection, unit testing, and QA processes to improve product reliability and reduce manual testing overhead.
- • Design and deploy user notification systems via SMS, email, and push notifications to improve customer engagement and reduce support workload.
- • Contribute to the evolution of proprietary risk algorithms and monetary transaction evaluation models that power core financial decision-making.
- • Build internal tools used by Customer Support Specialists to resolve user issues faster, reducing operational friction and improving customer outcomes.
- • Participate in A/B testing initiatives to optimize user flows, business metrics, and product features based on data-driven insights.
- • Automate manual workflows and operational tasks to increase team velocity and allow focus on high-impact engineering challenges.
- • Collaborate with product and design teams to implement interaction and motion design elements that enhance user experience across mobile and web platforms.
- • Maintain and improve containerized infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring system reliability and scalability as user base grows from 100k to 10M+.
- • Work in a small, autonomous team with high ownership, where technical and product direction is shaped by engineering input.
- • Contribute to a mature development environment with clear staging, production, and local deployment workflows that minimize friction and maximize productivity.
- • Engage in continuous learning and innovation, proposing new technologies, design paradigms, or feature ideas with open-minded team feedback.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
- • Experience building UI/UX for new features from end-to-end using React or React Native
- • Experience building REST-based services and API development, ideally in Java
- • Experience with SQL databases, constructing schemas, performing migrations, and writing analytical queries
- • Up-to-date grasp of JavaScript language standards (ES6 and beyond), with proficiency in TypeScript
- • Experience using AI tooling efficiently and familiar with best practices
