- • As a Software Engineer GO at Cloudera, you will play a critical role in building and enhancing Cloudera Data Warehouse (CDW), a cloud-native, self-service data service that powers enterprise-grade analytics for some of the world’s largest organizations. Your work will directly impact how data engineers, analysts, and developers derive actionable insights from complex data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- • Day to day, you will design, implement, test, and release new features and enhancements for CDW, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability in Kubernetes-based deployments. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, support, UX, and documentation teams to ensure seamless delivery of functionality that meets customer needs and aligns with platform goals.
- • You will also provide technical support to field teams and customers, helping facilitate product adoption, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure smooth implementation of Cloudera’s data services in diverse environments. This includes participating in on-call rotations to maintain high availability and reliability of customer-impacting systems.
- • You will contribute to open-source projects such as Apache Hive and Impala, working alongside community committers to harden security, optimize performance, and ensure compatibility across public and private cloud infrastructures including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes Operators, Helm, Docker, and Golang, while gaining hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools like Trino, Spark, and Airflow. You’ll grow as a full-stack infrastructure engineer capable of shaping the future of enterprise analytics platforms.

🎯 Requirements
- • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, and 2+ years of relevant work experience
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker containerization
- • Solid Golang programming skills
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a global, distributed team
- • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including areas such as authentication/authorization, managed Kubernetes, VMs, and storage
- • Experience supporting high customer impact systems in production, including participation in on-call rotations
