📋 Description

• Build and own the product experience layer of AI applications deployed directly into enterprise customer environments, from initial development through continuous iteration based on real usage and feedback
• Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, identify pain points, and define what ‘great’ looks like in their specific context
• Develop full-stack features encompassing backend APIs, data models, and frontend interfaces using modern technologies including React and TypeScript
• Collaborate closely with Applied AI and Platform engineers to deliver cohesive, production-grade AI solutions that meet enterprise reliability and security standards
• Translate customer feedback and usage insights into actionable product improvements that enhance usability, performance, and adoption
• Uphold and evolve engineering standards, reusable patterns, and architectural best practices as the team scales and deployments multiply
• Surface critical insights from customer deployments to inform the direction of Handshake’s core AI product roadmap
• Participate in customer conversations regularly, acting as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation
• Prioritize product quality and user experience over pure technical complexity, fixing issues wherever they occur in the stack—frontend, backend, or data layer
• Work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with real-world stakes, where decisions directly impact enterprise clients and AI model performance
• Contribute to product decisions alongside cross-functional teams including design, AI research, and customer success
• Maintain high standards of engineering craft, ensuring applications are not only functional but genuinely delightful and intuitive for end users
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities into enterprise software ecosystems, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable deployments
• Partner with Fortune 500 companies and leading AI research labs to deliver tailored AI solutions that operate at massive scale
• Iterate rapidly with tight feedback loops driven by live customer data and usage analytics
• Help shape the future of AI in the enterprise by building tools that enable organizations to deploy and leverage frontier AI models effectively

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5 years of product engineering experience with full-stack instincts and a genuine care for product quality
• Proficiency across the stack: comfortable with modern backend frameworks, APIs, and data modeling, as well as React/TypeScript on the frontend
• An eye for product experience, noticing and fixing issues that affect usability regardless of which layer they originate in
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions that prioritize product outcomes over purely architectural preferences
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with real customers and high-stakes outcomes
• Strong communication skills to regularly engage in customer conversations and translate between business needs and technical implementation
