- • As a Software Engineer I - Backend on the Email Productivity team at Abnormal Security Corporation, you will contribute to developing new features, improving system reliability, and supporting the ongoing success of a high-impact service that helps customers manage email more efficiently.
- • Day to day, you will design and build backend systems, work on high-volume email processing challenges, collaborate with distributed teams, and balance feature development with operational responsibilities while learning from experienced engineers.
- • Abnormal AI is a fast-growing company focused on AI-powered email security and productivity solutions, where engineers work on scalable, real-world systems that protect and enhance enterprise communication.
- • In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with modern backend technologies, deepen your expertise in distributed systems, and grow your ability to ship reliable, production-grade software in a collaborative, AI-augmented environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems or other related engineering field
- • 1+ years of industry experience on backend development & distributed systems, designing & building software applications
- • Experience working individually as well as in groups on a regular basis
- • Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication
- • Experience building features & components from scratch and operating them, balancing feature development work with operational tasks
