As a Software Engineer on Zip’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, you will architect and ship the systems that protect billions of dollars in spend for marquee customers like OpenAI, Snowflake, and Coinbase.
• • Design, build, and scale the core customer-facing identity stack: single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, fine-grained authorization, anomaly detection, and bring-your-own-key encryption. Your code will be the first line of defense against account takeover, payment fraud, and data breaches.
• • Collaborate directly with security leaders at Fortune 500 companies—think Discover, Anthropic, and Snowflake—to translate real-world risk assessments into elegant product features. You’ll whiteboard with CISOs in the morning and ship code in the afternoon.
• • Build AI-powered anomaly-detection pipelines that surface suspicious login patterns and fraudulent transactions in real time. Leverage graph-based models and streaming data to reduce false positives while catching threats that legacy tools miss.
• • Ship granular, policy-driven access controls that let enterprises delegate purchasing power without sacrificing compliance. Your APIs will enforce least-privilege principles across thousands of users and hundreds of approval workflows.
• • Create developer-friendly guardrails, automated scanners, and secure-by-default frameworks that empower every Zip engineer to ship confidently. Reduce the time from pull request to production while keeping vulnerabilities out of the main branch.
• • Craft beautiful, performant React front-end components that turn complex security workflows into consumer-grade experiences. From self-service key rotation wizards to audit-trail dashboards, your UI work will delight security teams and end users alike.
• • Contribute to open-source security libraries and publish technical blogs that establish Zip as a thought leader in IAM. Speak at conferences, host meetups, and mentor junior engineers who are eager to level up.
