- • Join Jerry, a rapidly growing insurtech company revolutionizing car ownership with our AI-powered super app, and contribute to the Core Marketplace Automation Team as a Software Engineer II.
- • This role offers a unique chance to develop software that directly impacts millions of users, automate intricate business processes, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of insurance technology.
- • You will be instrumental in building and enhancing automation systems that empower our users to self-serve, maintain continuous insurance coverage, and experience unparalleled ease in managing their vehicles.
- • Our mission is to make car ownership affordable, seamless, and even magical, covering everything from insurance and repairs to road safety, all within a unified, mobile-first platform.
- • With a 60x revenue growth over the last five years and a profitable business model, we are poised for significant expansion, aiming to scale from 5 million to 50 million users.
- • Your work will directly contribute to this ambitious growth by automating complex tasks such as document uploads and verification, policy changes, payment processing, cancellations, and renewals, making these processes faster, smarter, and more intuitive.
- • You will have the opportunity to build automation systems that manage complex insurance servicing tasks end-to-end, including policy endorsements, cancellations, document uploads, and reinstatements.
- • Additionally, you will develop features aimed at reducing policy cancellations, improving renewal rates, and ensuring users consistently have the optimal coverage.
- • We operate on fast sprint cycles, enabling you to ship new automations and features in an average of 1–2 weeks, providing immediate feedback and tangible results for your efforts.
- • You will compose robust backend business logic that drives these automation workflows, meticulously adhering to complex insurance carrier rules and regulations.
- • Design and implement sophisticated backend pipelines responsible for synchronizing customer policy data, delivering critical, timely alerts to users and internal teams, and powering seamless re-shopping experiences for insurance policies.
- • Optimize and scale our suite of internal tools, analogous to an in-house DocuSign for servicing, with the goal of reducing manual agent intervention to near zero, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineering Operations, to proactively identify and address potential customer churn and enhance overall customer retention strategies.
- • Embrace asynchronous work practices across different time zones, minimizing unnecessary meetings while fostering strong collaboration through tools like Asana and Slack.
- • Continuously enhance and maintain our backend systems, APIs, and microservice architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance as our user base grows.
- • This role provides significant ownership, allowing you to take charge of end-to-end outcomes and drive continuous improvement in the systems you build.
- • You will be part of an environment that encourages challenging the status quo, fostering innovation, promoting deep collaboration, and supporting each other's success.
- • Explore and integrate new technologies, such as AI/LLM tools, early in their development cycle, unhindered by bureaucratic processes.
- • The work is meaningful, automating hundreds of human agent hours and enabling efficient business scaling, offering exposure to both the technical intricacies and business logic of our core products.
- • Experience zero bureaucracy; your ideas can be pitched, implemented, and deployed within days, fostering a dynamic and responsive development environment.
- • Work alongside brilliant, supportive, and kind engineers, product managers, and data scientists who are passionate about their work and committed to mutual success.
- • Enjoy flexibility in your work, with the ability to focus on projects that genuinely excite you and explore emerging technologies without delay.
- • Benefit from a remote-friendly culture and flexible work arrangements that support a healthy work-life balance, even allowing for international work arrangements.
- • Take on substantial ownership, develop skills outside your immediate domain, level up your career rapidly, and mentor other engineers as you grow.
- • Be part of a team where everyone is passionate, deeply involved, and cares intensely about their work and their colleagues, creating a vibrant and engaging workplace.
- • Contribute to a product that is disrupting a massive market and making a tangible difference in the lives of millions of car owners.
- • This is more than just a coding job; it's an opportunity to solve real-world problems at scale and help people manage their most significant assets more effortlessly.
- • You will be working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative culture where innovation is celebrated, your contributions are valued, and the impact of your work is immediate and measurable.
