- • As a Software Engineer II, Fullstack at Dave, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to democratize financial access by building and maintaining the technology that powers member-facing support systems. Your work will directly impact how millions of financially underserved Americans interact with Dave’s products, particularly through the Member Intelligence Squad, where engineering intersects with customer experience to create scalable, human-centered solutions.
- • You will develop full-stack web and mobile features using JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on React and React Native, ensuring seamless, responsive experiences across platforms. This includes building and evolving internal tools that empower Member Success teams with greater efficiency and visibility, contributing to backend services that integrate with systems like Zendesk, and helping shape AI-driven chatbot and IVR interactions to make support faster, more intuitive, and more human.
- • You will write clean, maintainable code backed by comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, actively participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving team practices around software delivery and collaboration. Your role involves not just executing tasks but thinking critically about system architecture, component design, and long-term reliability, ensuring that solutions are both scalable and sustainable.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate member needs into technical solutions, adapting to evolving priorities while maintaining momentum and ownership over your work. This environment values thoughtful problem-solving, clear communication, and shared outcomes, where your input helps shape both the direction and execution of projects.
- • The Member Intelligence Squad operates at the intersection of engineering and real-world member experience, giving you the opportunity to see the direct impact of your code on user satisfaction and support effectiveness. - • Over time, you can expect to grow your technical and leadership scope as Dave continues to expand its product offerings—including upcoming Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) features in 2026—and as the team scales its systems to serve an ever-growing member base. Your contributions will help build systems that are not only technically sound but also deeply aligned with Dave’s values of transparency, accessibility, and member-centricity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React
- • Experience building and scaling full-stack applications
- • Solid computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- • Ability to design and reason about system architecture and component design
- • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
