This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of recommendation technology, directly influencing the core matching experience that defines Tinder.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing cutting-edge deep learning model serving technologies. This includes working with sophisticated frameworks and platforms such as NVIDIA Triton, RayServe, and other similar state-of-the-art solutions, ensuring our models are deployed efficiently and effectively at scale.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to architecting and implementing multi-phase ranking infrastructure. This involves designing complex systems that process user interactions and preferences through multiple stages to deliver highly relevant and personalized recommendations.
  • • You will also contribute to the development and optimization of Elasticsearch-based retrieval systems. This requires a deep understanding of search technologies and how to leverage them for fast, accurate, and scalable data retrieval, a critical component of our recommendation engine.
  • • This role has a direct and significant impact on Tinder’s core matching experience. The scalability, performance, and low-latency characteristics of the retrieval and ranking infrastructure you help build are paramount to driving user retention and engagement on the platform.

  • • The mission of Tinder is to revolutionize how people meet, and this role is central to that mission by ensuring the recommendation engine is powerful, efficient, and capable of fostering meaningful connections at an unprecedented scale.
  • • You will be working in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, aligning with Tinder's core values of One Team, One Dream; Own It; Never Stop Learning; Spark Solutions; and Embrace Our Differences.
  • • This position offers the chance to work on challenging problems in distributed systems, machine learning operations (MLOps), and large-scale data processing, all within the context of a product that touches the lives of millions worldwide.
  • • Your contributions will directly influence user satisfaction, the success of new feature rollouts, and the overall growth trajectory of Tinder.
