Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end quality strategy for Solana Mobile’s Android stack, from OS-level components to consumer-facing apps, ensuring every release meets the performance and security standards of a next-generation web3 handset.
- • Architect and maintain a scalable, cloud-based test automation framework that can spin up thousands of emulators and physical Seeker devices, run deterministic test suites in minutes, and surface actionable failure data to engineers within seconds.
- • Partner with firmware, SDK, and app teams to translate product requirements into exhaustive test plans—covering functional, performance, battery, thermal, network, and cryptographic scenarios—so that the Seeker device ships bug-free and delights early adopters.
- • Implement continuous integration pipelines (GitHub Actions + Buildkite) that gate every pull request with automated unit, integration, and UI tests, while providing clear, visual dashboards that let any contributor see the health of the Android codebase in real time.
- • Design and execute exploratory and regression test cycles on pre-release hardware, capturing logs, traces, and metrics that pinpoint memory leaks, ANRs, or security regressions before they reach beta users or the Solana Mainnet.
- • Build tooling that allows external dApp developers to run the same test harnesses used internally, accelerating third-party adoption and reinforcing Solana Mobile as the premier platform for decentralized mobile experiences.
- • Champion test-driven development and quality culture across the organization by writing clear guidelines, running brown-bag sessions, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices for instrumentation, mocking, and deterministic test data.
- • Collaborate with DevOps and Release Management to define version tagging, hot-fix branching, and staged rollout strategies that minimize downtime for the Seeker fleet and maintain trust in the Solana ecosystem.
- • Analyze crash and telemetry data from real-world devices to identify patterns, prioritize backlog bugs, and feed insights into future hardware and software roadmaps.
- • Contribute to open-source test libraries and publish technical blogs that showcase how Solana Mobile pushes the boundaries of mobile QA in web3.
- • Participate in on-call rotations for critical releases, using your deep system knowledge to triage, reproduce, and resolve customer-facing issues within SLA windows.
- • Stay ahead of Android OS releases, Google Play policy changes, and emerging security threats, ensuring Solana Mobile remains compliant and resilient in a rapidly evolving landscape.
