  • • Lead key engineering and product decisions for the Speechify iOS app, which is ranked #18 in the App Store Productivity category and honored with Apple’s 2025 Design Award for Inclusivity.
  • • Actively ship production code for the iOS application, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant features that serve over 50 million users.
  • • Work within a dedicated product team to design, build, and refine core functionality of the iOS app, including text-to-speech playback, document parsing, and accessibility features.
  • • Participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, collaborating with designers and product managers to prioritize features that enhance user experience and accessibility.
  • • Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture using modern iOS development practices and scalable design patterns.
  • • Apply SOLID principles to write clean, maintainable, and testable code, ensuring every class adheres to proper object-oriented design.
  • • Implement multithreaded programming techniques to optimize performance, responsiveness, and resource management in a high-concurrency audio playback environment.
  • • Integrate and manage CI/CD infrastructure using Fastlane to automate builds, testing, and App Store deployments with reliability and speed.
  • • Utilize Swift and SwiftUI to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces that serve users with learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADD, Low Vision, Concussions, Autism, and Second Language Learners.
  • • Work with Git and established Git workflows to collaborate effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous team environment.
  • • Drive product thinking by making thoughtful decisions on feature evolution, balancing speed with long-term maintainability and user impact.
  • • Operate with customer obsession, using direct user feedback—including stories of emotional impact—to guide technical priorities and improvements.
  • • Function in a fast-paced, high-growth startup culture where initiative, communication, and consistent delivery are paramount to success.
  • • Contribute to a product recognized by Apple as App of the Day and by Google as Chrome Extension of the Year, serving a global user base across iOS, Android, Mac, Web, and Chrome.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proficiency in Swift programming language
  • • Hands-on experience with SwiftUI
  • • Experience with multithreaded programming on iOS
  • • Experience with CI/CD infrastructure and Fastlane
  • • Demonstrated ability to apply SOLID principles in production code
  • • Experience with Git and understanding of Git workflows
