📋 Description

• Lead key engineering and product decisions for the Speechify iOS app, which is ranked #18 in the App Store Productivity category and received Apple’s 2025 Design Award for inclusivity.
• Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS application, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant features.
• Work within a dedicated product team to collaborate on feature development, technical design, and user experience improvements.
• Participate in product discussions to shape the roadmap, influencing direction through technical insight and customer-focused thinking.
• Maintain and enhance the existing complex iOS app architecture, ensuring long-term stability and extensibility.
• Build user experiences that delight millions of users, including individuals with learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADD, Low Vision, Concussions, Autism, and Second Language Learners.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, remote, and asynchronous environment where speed, focus, and execution are critical to growth.
• Drive product thinking by making thoughtful decisions about feature evolution and aligning with designers and internal teams on optimal solutions.
• Balance rapid iteration with technical excellence, knowing when to ship quickly and when to invest in foundational improvements.
• Operate in a flat organization where leadership is earned through technical skill, consistent delivery, and a results-driven work ethic.
• Engage in a rigorous technical interview process designed to be completed within one week, focusing on real-world engineering challenges.
• Work on a product recognized by Apple as App of the Day and by Google as Chrome Extension of the Year, used by over 50 million people worldwide.
• Support a transformative mission: removing barriers to reading by turning text from PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into high-quality audio.
• Contribute to one of the fastest-growing sectors in tech: the intersection of artificial intelligence and audio-based learning.
• Deliver features that directly impact users’ lives, with daily feedback from users sharing emotional, life-changing experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift programming language
• Experience with SwiftUI for building iOS user interfaces
• Proven experience building and scaling iOS apps to a large user base
• Strong understanding of multithreading programming in iOS
• Experience working with CI/CD infrastructure and Fastlane for automated deployments
• Demonstrated ability to apply SOLID principles to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
