📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer Lead Consultant at Allstate, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative digital products that protect families and their belongings, contributing to a company with over 90 years of innovation in safety and technology.
• You will participate in inception and iteration planning, lead daily standups and retrospectives, drive technical design discussions, and champion best practices like test-driven development and paired programming across product teams.
• You will architect and implement large-scale distributed systems using modern cloud technologies, including microservices, REST APIs with Java Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures with Kafka, while mentoring teams in Agile and DevOps practices.
• You will deepen your expertise in emerging technologies such as Generative AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and AI agents, while mastering secure backend development, API gateways, and CI/CD pipelines, positioning you as a technical leader across Allstate’s product portfolios.

🎯 Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development
• Hands-on experience architecting, designing, and delivering large-scale distributed systems and microservices for cloud environments
• Experience with Generative AI APIs, LLMs, AI agents, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Proficiency in backend technologies including MongoDB, caching, Kafka messaging, and API security (OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, SAML)
• Experience with distributed version control (Git), build tools (Maven, Gradle, npm), artifact management, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience working in Agile environments with test-driven development (TDD) and paired programming practices
