📋 Description

• Build and scale Ramp’s stablecoin-based payment and treasury infrastructure to enable faster, cheaper, and more accessible financial flows for businesses
• Design and implement secure, high-availability integrations between Ramp’s systems and external stablecoin providers, wallet services, and blockchain networks
• Own end-to-end product flows for stablecoin transactions, from user-initiated payments to on-chain settlement and reconciliation
• Collaborate with engineering teams across Ramp to embed stablecoin capabilities into core financial products used by 50,000+ businesses
• Solve mission-critical fintech challenges involving distributed systems, eventual consistency, and real-time money movement at scale
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security best practices in key management, wallet security, and transaction validation
• Work with internal stakeholders to align stablecoin infrastructure with treasury, risk, and accounting workflows
• Evaluate and integrate new blockchain protocols and financial APIs to enhance settlement speed, reduce costs, and improve user experience
• Debug and resolve complex production issues in live payment and treasury systems handling billions in annualized spend
• Maintain and improve Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent) configurations for cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Contribute to architectural decisions that prioritize security, scalability, and reliability in highly regulated financial systems
• Partner with external fintech and crypto service providers to establish and maintain API integrations for custody, onramp, and offramp flows
• Document system designs, operational procedures, and incident response protocols for stablecoin infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 reliability of critical payment and treasury systems
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in blockchain-based financial flows, including double-spending, chain reorgs, and liquidity gaps
• Translate business requirements for cross-border settlement, FX, and treasury management into technical specifications for stablecoin systems
• Mentor junior engineers on secure coding practices, distributed systems design, and fintech regulatory considerations
• Continuously improve system performance by optimizing transaction throughput, reducing latency, and lowering operational costs
• Stay current with emerging trends in stablecoins, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and blockchain-based finance

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems preferred
• Proven experience with stablecoin technologies, blockchain-based payment rails, and/or wallet infrastructure
• Strong production experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent)
• Deep proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional programming language (Python, Go, Java, or similar)
• Experience working on security-sensitive systems, with interest in key management, wallet security, or secure transaction flows
• Experience building or operating payments, money movement, treasury, stablecoin, or crypto infrastructure in production environments
