📋 Description

• • As a Software Engineer on the Ingestion team within Airbnb’s Online Database Infrastructure org, you will build and operate a managed, reliable, performant, and scalable platform for exporting data from Airbnb’s online databases to support asynchronous processing across the business.
• • Day to day, you will design, code, test, and maintain data ingestion systems that enable near real-time change data capture (CDC) and periodic full-table snapshots, collaborate with internal product teams to ensure effective platform usage, and participate in oncall rotations to proactively identify, debug, and fix operational issues.
• • You will join a team of talented engineers working on cutting-edge infrastructure technologies that power Airbnb’s data ecosystem, supporting over 5 million hosts and 2 billion guest arrivals globally by enabling reliable data access for analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, gain hands-on experience with large-scale data infrastructure, improve your ability to navigate and contribute to complex codebases, and grow as a trusted infrastructure engineer who bridges technical excellence with cross-functional collaboration.
