Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Software Engineer on the Juno team at Ramp, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how organizations manage guest travel and expense—a critical yet underserved segment of corporate spending that represents up to 20% of total travel budgets in key industries. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, compliance, and experience of thousands of guest travelers and the admins who support them, replacing fragmented, manual processes with a unified, intelligent platform.
- • You will build and evolve the end-to-end guest travel booking experience, crafting intuitive, delightful interfaces that simplify complex multi-person itineraries while ensuring policy adherence and seamless coordination between travelers, admins, and third-party suppliers. This includes refining search, booking flows, traveler profiles, and real-time itinerary management tools used by travel coordinators.
- • You will design and implement the financial infrastructure that powers Juno, including virtual card issuance, dynamic spend controls, automated receipt capture and verification, multi-currency expense tracking, and reimbursement workflows—ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance across global transactions.
- • You will ship AI-powered agents that reduce operational overhead by automating policy enforcement, expense categorization, travel disruption responses, and traveler support inquiries—leveraging LLMs and rule-based systems to create proactive, context-aware assistance that scales with adoption.
- • You will work across the full stack, contributing to React-based frontend interfaces, TypeScript-driven backend services, PostgreSQL data models, and REST/GraphQL APIs, while integrating with external systems such as GDS platforms, payment processors, and identity providers to create a cohesive, scalable travel ecosystem.
- • You will own ambiguous, high-impact projects from conception through deployment, making technical trade-offs, defining success metrics, and iterating based on user feedback and business outcomes—operating with high autonomy in a small, high-leverage team where individual contributions directly shape product direction and company trajectory.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teammates in a founder-led, investor-backed environment that values technical excellence, systems thinking, and pragmatic execution—where your code doesn’t just ship features, it redefines how guest travel is managed across healthcare, education, media, energy, and enterprise sectors.
- • You will grow as a full-stack engineer and systems thinker, deepening your expertise in payments infrastructure, AI integration, and scalable SaaS architecture while mentoring peers and raising engineering standards—positioning yourself for leadership roles in product-driven engineering organizations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications (6+ years preferred for staff-level consideration)
- • Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL—core technologies in Juno’s modern stack
- • Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs, data models, and distributed systems that handle real financial transactions
- • Proven ability to own large, ambiguous projects end-to-end, from problem definition through delivery and iteration
- • Comfort working with complex third-party integrations, including payment systems, booking APIs, or identity providers
- • Track record of writing high-quality, maintainable code while shipping quickly and making pragmatic "good enough" decisions when appropriate
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees, with partial coverage for dependents, plus access to One Medical annual membership
- • 401(k) plan with employer match on contributions made during employment at Ramp
- • Flexible PTO, fertility HRA (up to $10,000/year), parental leave, pet insurance, and health and wellness stipend
- • Unlimited AI token usage, centralized home-office equipment budget, in-office perks (lunch, snacks, drinks), and budget for intra-office travel
- • Relocation support to New York or San Francisco as needed, and centralized home-office equipment ordering for all employees
