📋 Description

• This role is a Software Engineering AI Trainer at Anyone AI Inc., where experienced software engineers contribute to the development of high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems. The position is critical to advancing AI’s ability to understand, generate, and assess software engineering work, directly impacting the reliability and usefulness of AI-powered development tools.
• As a project-based consultant, you will design and evaluate complex, multi-file software engineering scenarios that mirror real-world development challenges, ensuring AI models are trained on authentic, rigorous, and educationally valuable tasks that reflect industry best practices in code quality, testing, and system design.
• You will work within a distributed, expert-driven team of senior software engineers based in Argentina, collaborating asynchronously to create, refine, and validate coding tasks that push the boundaries of AI’s software engineering capabilities while maintaining strict adherence to technical accuracy and pedagogical clarity.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in software design, test-driven development, and code review practices while gaining unique insight into how AI learns and evaluates software engineering competencies — positioning you at the intersection of software engineering and AI innovation.
• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks across bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, and test generation, ensuring each scenario is realistic, well-scoped, and aligned with industry-standard software engineering practices.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and provide reference implementations that serve as authoritative solutions for AI training and evaluation, documenting assumptions, constraints, and expected behaviors with professional rigor.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing, ensuring tasks have robust validation criteria and edge-case coverage.
• Review peer-generated tasks for technical correctness, clarity, realism, and pedagogical value, identifying ambiguities, missing requirements, or potential failure modes that could undermine AI learning outcomes.
• Analyze and articulate edge cases, failure modes, and alternative solutions in submitted work, providing structured, actionable feedback that improves both task quality and AI model performance.
• Ensure end-to-end alignment between task specifications, reference code, test expectations, and desired learning objectives, maintaining consistency across all artifacts to support reliable AI evaluation.
• Manage your own schedule and workload as a part-time, project-based consultant, leveraging your autonomy to balance this engagement with other professional commitments while delivering high-quality outputs on agreed timelines.
• Continuously refine your approach to task design based on peer feedback and performance metrics, contributing to the evolution of Anyone AI’s task creation framework and quality standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full‑stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi‑file codebases
