📋 Description

• Design and implement complex, multi-file software engineering tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and migration in production-like environments.
• Create clear, detailed natural-language specifications that accurately define coding requirements and expected outcomes for software tasks.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using established frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for accuracy, clarity, realism, and adherence to production standards, identifying ambiguities, edge cases, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to guarantee consistency and reliability in evaluation.
• Navigate and debug large, multi-file codebases to understand complex dependencies and system behaviors when designing or reviewing tasks.
• Perform code reviews and refactoring exercises to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance in simulated production environments.
• Contribute to the creation of production-realistic coding scenarios used to train and evaluate AI systems in software engineering capabilities.
• Generate high-quality reference implementations that serve as benchmarks for AI model performance and correctness.
• Produce structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to enhance the quality of training data for AI models.
• Maintain consistent standards across all generated tasks to ensure fairness, reproducibility, and educational value for AI training.
• Operate independently with full autonomy over schedule and workflow, delivering project milestones on time without direct supervision.
• Utilize personal tools and development environments to complete tasks, with no provision of hardware, software, or infrastructure by the company.
• Work on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with payments tied to task completion, not hourly rates.
• Maintain compliance with external vendor policies by ensuring no conflicts of interest when simultaneously engaging with other employers or vendors.
• Participate in iterative feedback loops to refine task designs based on internal review and AI model performance metrics.
• Collaborate virtually with other contractors and evaluators to maintain alignment on quality standards and task specifications.
• Deliver complete validation artifacts including test results, code coverage reports, and review summaries with each completed task.
• Ensure all submitted work is original, well-documented, and free of licensing or intellectual property conflicts.
• Adapt quickly to evolving task requirements and evolving standards in AI training methodologies for software engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
